Boot Camp has truly been a life changing experience for me. In addition to exercising with supportive like-minded women, I noticed an almost immediate improvement in my heath. Several weeks into my first Boot Camp I noticed my knees no longer crunched and rarely snapped. I was thrilled. Being in my late fifties, I’ve acquired old sports related injuries and had cause for concern to the point that I was uncertain of how I would handle Boot Camp. I knew, however, that the strengthening of the collateral muscles would benefit my knee problem. I just didn’t think things would improve so quickly. Then, another area of my health unexpectedly changed; my vision improved. I couldn’t believe it, so I waited several weeks before telling anyone. Sure enough, I no longer have to squint to see the digital clock at night. Wow! I attribute these positive changes to not only exercise, but to nutritional guidance and greatly increased oxygen supply to my eyes.
I encourage everyone who wishes to live a vital life to join Boot Camp.

Just a quick note of thanks for all you did in our last week of camp to push us through. You are one of the most inspiring people I have worked with and I truly admire the passion you bring to the field daily. We all pushed harder because we knew how much you cared about our success; the encouragement on the stairs, the correction to our form and the extra push every day! When someone calls you by name, tells you to keep moving, you just don't want to let them down.
You are a difference maker and have an incredible gift. You are correct, I can hold the plank a lot longer than I did yesterday but need to set my mental goal higher. I plan to redeem myself:) in the July camp and at that time, prior to assessment, I will seek you out to establish my mental goals. Once I put something in my head, I quit as soon as soon as I reach it....so it looks like I need loftier goals.
~L.M. (Bradford Beach Camp 5:30 AM)
Just want to let you know I am feeling MUCH better (knees especially!) and I/m sure camp has a lot to do with it. Before I started I didn't think I could run and even though I'm not running a lot, it's more than I have for the past 6-8 years. It feels like the activities are getting easier but I assume that's because my strength and endurance are increasing, so I just need to continue to push and make it harder. You guys have been doing a great job and I like the way you have been mixing it up and incorporating the partners and teams into the workouts this session. Keep up the good work! I'm really getting into the routine and don't like it when I have to miss one of my days (but I do like the flexibility of the 4/day a week camp so I can have one day a week to "sleep in"!)
Thanks again for your inspiration and I'm really glad I made the decision to join up. It's really making a difference!
~ N.M. (Brookfield Camp)
My feedback.... I LOVE bootcamp! I can definately see the results and
find it a great way to start the day.
~ K.B. (Bradford Beach 5:30 am)
Ok, I am a silent blog watcher but today is my day to change that. When I started this boot camp adventure 4 weeks ago I thought I was way out of my element and that I was allergic to exercise. Just to give you a bit of insight into my experience the first day I changed my diet, stopped drinking caffeinated drinks and got up at 4:15 to get to Bradford Beach by 5:30. I watched previous campers run circles around me and thought I am so not at their level. It was ok because they all encouraged me and I made it through. So thought... by noon that day I had the worst migraine headache I had ever had in my life. I drove home from work only to stop 8 times on a ten-mile trip to get physically sick. I was happy to spend the remainder of the day flat out on the couch. I thought I was going to die!!!! Then Tuesday came, yes before I knew what was all involved I had signed up for the 4-day camp. I found myself at the public for the mega leg workout. Yes I was sore. After Wednesday's GEWN's class on LEGS!!!!! I was unable to walk, sit down to use the bathroom or climb the stairs to my second story bedroom. Then came the fitness test.... I don't think I have run any distance since I was in 4th grade in 1970. I walked more than I ran but finished in 14:18, pushups: 21 sit-ups 38 and the dreaded plank hold 45 seconds (the first of the GE women to drop that day). Everyday I would call my sister on the way home and laugh about how sore I was and she would say she was proud of me for doing this. At the end of week one my goal for camp was just to make it through the four weeks alive, nothing more.
Monday of week two began by me thinking what could be worse than week one. That was the day that I got introduced to St. Mary's hill and what the power of encouragement from your fellow campmates could do. As I was scaling the stairs for the second time and out severely out of breathe I began to hear other campers encouraging me. On that final decent I looked up and saw all of the other campers already finished and heard "You are doing great", "You’re almost there", and "You can do it". From that moment on I new I would make it to the end of camp and grow stronger as a result. By the end of week two my husband was laughing with me and was in disbelief when I said " I am kind of said I don't have camp on Friday".
So here we are the end of week four. I am stronger physically and mentally. I feel GREAT. My final tests showed more improvement than I thought possible. I improved. 3.05 mins in the mile (running more than I walked), 15 sit ups, 14 push-ups and 3.13 mins in the plank hold. I couldn’t have done this without all of your encouragement. I have been inspired enough to sign up for the next boot camp... who would have thought that 4 weeks ago. I owe the GE Women a huge debit of gratitude. So from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!
~ F.A. (Corporate Camp)
My wife has really enjoyed her first session of boot camp. I've been active in running and biking for quite some time. Your program really seemed to get her excited about both the exercise and the eating and mental aspect of a health lifestyle vs. something that is just done 1 hour in the morning. Glad to see programs out there that support this! We are both pharmacists and often times see more of what happens when a healthy lifestyle is abandoned. I'm for putting Adventure BootCamp on our National Healthcare Plan! lol
~ D.G (Milwaukee Camp)
I thoroughly enjoyed my Elm Grove bootcamp experience. Coach Sandi provides wonderful nutrition insight and great motivation. Being from the central part of the milw. county, I would love to see a camp held in the Tosa area...Hart Park maybe or along the Menominee parkway (near Hoyt Pool). With the Elm Grove camp moving out to the far west side of Brookfield and the other far east side locations, I think a central location for a camp would be great for business!
Thanks for providing such a great workout experience like no other!
~ J.M. (Elm Grove Camp)
I wanted to let you know that Coach Amy has been doing an awesome job in camp. She has varied everything up and really pushed us with each workout. She gets behind and pushes me to go a little further. I feel that form is well watched and when I think I can't keep going, whether it is lifting both weights at the same time or slowing down, she usually encourages to keep going. She has a good energy level.
I have had the good fortune of having Coach Jo twice this week. I greatly enjoy her classes as well. She is a great group motivator. She keeps a good pace and pushes everybody hard. She shows great confidence with coaching and I know that she is watching our form...I am motivated by her whether she gives me an extra personal push or not. I am sore. These two coaches have given me an amazing workout and I am so excited to see where I am at the end of the 4 weeks.
~ S.P. ( Milwaukee Indoor Camp 8:45 am & 6:00 pm)
I just wanted to let you all know what a great job Amy is doing with us at the MWF 8:45 class. This camp is the best thing I am doing right now. He class is challenging, she is hard on us, but just a giant dose of positive energy!! I can tell she really puts a lot of time in class preparation. I leave each class with such a great amount of energy and feeling quite good about myself:) So many people (including my previous fitness instructor) have asked me why I like this camp? What do I like about it? How is it different? It is so hard to explain unless you go, but one thing I do know is that the group support makes a huge difference. You guys have a great thing going on and although we miss Coach Catherine, Amy has been just amazing - we all love her!
~ M. P. (Milwaukee 8:45 AM Camp)
I just wanted to give you guys a great big thank you! I really love boot camp. It has become an addiction for my husband and I, and probably one of the best things that has happened for us. It is so great that it is a workout that my husband and I can do together. It’s a special combination of motivational instruction that you guys provide that make it such a positive experience for both of us. MORE
~ K.A. (Milwaukee 6:00 PM COED Camp)
Thank you for what you have helped me do !!! I look back at pictures and realize that although I thought I was happy - I wasn't. I am loving the new me !!!
~ B. W. (5:30 AM Camp, Bradford Beach)
Coach Catherine - Hi, I just wanted to thank you for the AWESOME workout this morning!!! It kicked my butt....and seems to still be kicking it AHH my arms! I think I have become a Boot Camp Snob, because I truly believe that there is not a better program, trainer, or gym, that can work anyone like you do, and I am spreading the word!!! Thanks again!!
~ M.T. (5:30 AM Camp, Bradford Beach)
"I loved this camp! It was awesome having an unofficial repeat/advanced camp and a smaller group, which I think allowed Coach Catherine to up the intensity of the classes and really spend more time focusing on each individual camper. It's always nice to introduce new campers into the fold, but I loved having a class with only repeaters.
I want to say how great it was having Coach Catherine for 10 of the 12 sessions. That really makes a big difference for me in terms of intensity, quality, and enjoyment. She really knows how to make me push myself beyond my self-imposed limits, and I love that. Thank you!
While there is no substitute for a camp run by Coach Catherine, I really liked having Coach Amy as the substitute for the other two classes. She always makes things fun, brings a great attitude, and challenges us. I'm always happy to see her at camp.
Also, I just wanted to say that I think Joanna is doing a very good job in training. She's encouraging, enthusiastic, and I always appreciate tips and corrections on form, which she seems to be very mindful about. Keep up the good work!
Finally, I love the facility and all the new toys. It's really come together and provides a nice change of pace from the outdoor camps. Thank you for a really great three weeks! See you in February."
~B. A. (Milwaukee 6:00 PM COED Camp)
"January 2010, I have just finished my first Boot Camp. I started Boot Camp with a lot of trepidation and concern. How would I an out-of-shape 60 year old adapt to something called “Boot Camp”? Would I have a heart attack? Would I fit in or are there only nubile little nymphs sweating in out?
It has been amazing, I have connected with a dozen like-minded women, who have welcomed and encouraged me within my first Boot Camp. Amy, our instructor, has challenged me, encouraged me and assisted in building my confidence. In 3 short weeks, I have lost 5 ½ pounds, 2 inches off my hips and a dozen new friends to help me with my fitness journey. If you are thinking of joining, we would all welcome you with open arms and kindness. Be prepared to sweat a bit, challenge yourself, and to make new friends.
My journey has just begun; I have more pounds and a few more inches to remove before I will feel fit. I am on the road to a healthier and fit me along with my fellow campers."
~L.B. (Bay View Camp)
"Hi Coaches!,
I would like to let you know how much I have enjoyed this (my 2nd) session of bootcamp. The use of biomechanics and circuits have proven to be the most beneficial of workouts (for MY body).
At the beginning of this session (the first week, I wasn't quite sure where we were going with the daily camps; I wasn't having as much pain or feeling that individual sessions were particularly challenging in comparison to the 1st session). But I noticed immediate results??! How does this happen...BIOMECHANICS poured into the mix!
All this to say, that the variety of challenges/workouts and the combination of cardio and muscle use has been fabulous. I am fitting jeans (straight from the dryer) that I have been unable to wear in a couple years. And I have balance! Most people may take their balance for granted, but my balance was so off 10 weeks ago that the bottom of my left foot was in constant pain and my ankle was swollen.
Thank you BIOMECHANICS. And thank you Coach Catherine and Coach Julie."
~ B. J. (Milwaukee Camp)
"This was my first boot camp and I will definitely be a repeat camper! The entire program was fantastic. I appreciate your professionalism and organization. Your positive attitude is contagious! Thank you again for a great fitness month!"
~ M. H. (Bradford Beach)
"Thanks SO much for a wonderful bootcamp experience the last few months and for the consult, grocery tour and plan...My life has changed for the better due to ALL of this!!!"
~ K.S. (Bradford Beach at 5:30 am)
"I just wanted to thank you all again for this past four weeks. I have never done anything like this before...never thought I could.I have to just say a few things to you all because I think it is important for you to know what an affect you have had on my life! A week into boot camp I split with my partner of 8 years. I felt like I wanted to curl up in a ball and sleep my life away.....wallow in my self pity. Although, I have had no official place to call home for the last 3 weeks I still came to boot camp every day! In so many ways it is what kept me from wallowing and feeling sorry for myself. Not only did it keep me from feeling sorry for myself but it actually helped me pick myself up and keep on going.....exceeding my expectations and making me feel like "I can do anything".
I know now...that I CAN do anything and in fact this confidence is what was lacking in my relationship. My lack of confidence was getting in the way of so many things....things I thought I couldn't do....things that I now know are not half as hard as boot camp was. I have read many books on self esteem and improving confidence but nothing has affected me the way you all have. I hope this doesn't sound too corny because I feel so strongly about what has happened to me. The transformation is intense. It will probably be a bit before I see you all again but I have no doubt that I will be back for more very soon. I plan to check out your new facilities and get busy on my workout plan that I have been putting off for so many year but now I finally have the tools to make it a reality.
Thank you again... my cup runneth over"
~ T.B. (Milwaukee Camp)
"My friend at work talked about exercise and how hard it is to get in shape after 30 and especially after 40 years old. She found and joined boot camp and told me every day about her experiences, even out in the rain. She said it was hard but fun. So I joined the South Shore camp.
Amy is great!!! She seems to know when my motivation is low and gives me the push I need to keep going. NOW I AM ADDICTED!!! I have graduated from my third boot camp and have joined #4…. I just love getting up and working out. I feel better about myself and I look better too. I love running! Who would have thought?!? Not me.
Now at almost 50 years old, my eventual goal is to run in a 5K race. My kids think I am crazy but not me! I WILL DO IT!!
Thank you Amy!!! Keep me going!!"
~Terry Logue (Bay View Camp)
"It's amazing how fast a year goes, but what's more amazing is what I have been able to accomplish this past year with your help. I set out in January, hoping to lose a few pounds and get more physically fit. What I got out of this year was far more!
1 - I enjoy running - who knew?
2 - I have a better body now than I had before I had kids - who knew?
3 - I have a new group of friends who enjoy working out as much as I do - who knew?
4 - I've received so many compliments and have been called "skinny" for the first time since I was 14 - seriously, who knew?
I got hooked on BC in January, and I'm still hooked! I truly enjoy camp, you make it fun; I absolutely love the results, and I'm eternally grateful to you!!! You pour your heart into what you do and you are changing lives. You have changed mine for the better and I when I look back at our first pre-camp/post-camp assessment and see how far we have come, I have come, you have come...well, it's been a GREAT year! Thanks for committing to "your passion" in 2010; your commitment helped me fulfill mine!!"
~ T.F. (Elm Grove 5:30am camp)
"Boot Camp has completely transformed my physique, my overall health and fitness, and even the way I eat. Without MAC, I wouldn't have reached the goals I set out to accomplish - or keep pushing harder to go further that I ever thought I could. Within only three months I went from a couch potato who couldn't jog down the block to running one mile in ten minutes - and loving it! I've lost weight, become much stronger, and I look and feel terrific - I never thought I'd see so much change and improvement in such a short time. The primary reason for this change is Coach Sandi - she is truly a fitness expert who knows how to transform the body while keeping the mind and spirit motivated. Sandi is highly supportive and encouraging, and she is the reason for my success. I highly recommend Boot Camp for anyone looking for change and challenge, and a fun and supportive environment. I can't think of starting my day without it!"
~M.S. (Elm Grove 5:30am camp)
"I just wanted to let you know that I was hoping to take 7 minutes off of my previous half-marathon time today when I ran in Chicago, but I actually took 20 minutes off!!! I finished in 1:47 23!! I really think that my speed and endurance improved so much because of boot camp :) Thank you so much for everything!"
~B.K (Klode Park)
"Thanks for a great workout today! As a first-time Boot Camper, I wasn't sure what to expect, but today's class exceeded my expectations. I have a much clearer sense of my "strengths and weaknesses" (in a very literal sense!!), and I actually was proud of myself for jumping over the hurdles (and liking it) and jumping rope, both of which I haven't done in years. I'm already looking forward to tomorrow's class "
-M.S. (Elm Grove)
"When I signed up to start boot camp last spring, I had been working with a personal trainer for a year and had lost a good amount of weight, but wanted to push myself further than I could in a gym. I still had more weight to lose, and I knew that my cardio fitness needed a lot of work. And yet...I was petrified. There were a million reasons why I thought I would hate boot camp: I had allergies; I didn't like to get up in the morning before 10am; I didn't like to work out outside, I didn't like working out with a group; etc. But at the same time, I recognized that all of those excuses were keeping me from reaching my fitness goals.
That first camp? It was hard. I'd never done anything so physically demanding, but I could literally see the progress I was making, and Coach Amy and the rest of the women were there every day to keep me going. Camp 2? I fell in love with boot camp. I am now in my 3rd camp and it certainly will not be my last. Do I still have allergies? Do I still moan about getting up at 5am? Sure. But through the boot camp process, I have not only lost pounds and inches, boot camp has instilled in me a pride in my body, not only the way it looks but the way it moves, than I have ever had in 38 years."
~S.H.( Bay View)
"I can hardly believe that those 4 weeks are coming to a close - they went fast. I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you that (like everyone), I think you are just wonderful...You somehow manage day after to day to kick everyone's you-know-what, in the nicest of ways, keep us all motivated...urging us to keep going, all with your best-ever humor! The camp experience has exceeded my hopes and dreams...and because of you, I didn't quit! Thank you. I am sure I will "camp" again... "
~J.W. (Elm Grove)
"It was fun but challenging. I felt great. And I was able to inspire some of my family and friends to start eating better and exercising more. I had been working out consistently for several months before I started camp. I met with a personal trainer several times. I was working out 6 days a week and eating healthy but still wasn’t seeing results. All of the women in my family are overweight and it started when they were in their mid-20s. I decided that since I was turning 26 and my metabolism was already slowing down, that maybe this boot camp could help that turn around. And it seems like it has. I’m finally starting to see a difference."
~ M.T. (Bradford Beach)
"I loved the experience! Tons of variety, nice pace, really felt like it was making a difference. I felt great after each session. My muscle tone is much improved. Sandi was fantastic… great energy, knowledge and encouragement. This boot camp has met and exceeded my expectations. My first boot camp was at [different boot camp], my second was at Elm Grove with Sandi. I liked my experience with Sandi better. She got to know my name, she explained things like nutrition, fitness, muscles much better. She was really motivational."
~ A.K. (Elm Grove)
"I really liked all of the coaches – they pushed me and everyone to work, and they all had great/fitting personalities! I liked knowing that I was challenging myself and forcing myself to work-out on a daily basis. I liked the variety of the work-outs and exercises – and learning new exercises/techniques/tips!"
~K.C. (Bradford Beach)
"I have been a rock climber now for 6 months and you use different muscles you don't use every day. I've sadly not climbed for the past month or so and once you stop climbing for a while you lose all your muscle strength and literally have to start all over again. I experienced this last January and it took me two months to get back into it without working out or any daily exercise. But since I've joined your boot camp I am proud to say after a month of no climbing I kicked serious but on the wall! Even my brother, who I climb with, noticed that I have toned my body and am able to grab onto holds that are much crimpier (where you need to use forearm muscles) and my endurance has improved dramatically!
I have read so many workout books and diet books and I never wanted to do any of them because first of all the diet books are all about not eating! and the workout books did not interest me one bit. But the nutrition guidelines and workouts we campers do are fun and push you with a confidence to improve a healthier lifestyle. I completely agree with Catherine that your body doesn't improve with repetitive workouts--you need change and to keep your body guessing everyday with what workout you'll be doing. One day it may be cardio, the next solely working your upper strength, and the next working the abdominals and legs. Also the nutrition packet we follow is amazing. It's all about the portions you eat and especially what you’re eating.
I am doing the 6:45 am boot camp at Bradford Beach and let me tell you I am NOT a morning person and my friends and family know this. But once I started this camp (crazy as it sounds) I love waking up early now. I start the day feeling refreshed and a bit sore, but that's okay because I know then that I worked my muscles and I am one more step ahead to meeting my goals."
~G.A. (Bradford Beach)
"With gratitude I write this testament to Catherine to share with others. I want to thank her for giving me a new lease on life. Approximately one year ago, Milwaukee radio station, B93, ran a promotion for Milwaukee Adventure Boot Camp with a grand prize of a one year membership. As the lucky recipient, I would like to share the benefits of my boot camp workouts.
Workouts are challenging but never boring and each session allows you to get an aerobic and strength training workout. During the one hour session, you will burn a substantial number of calories due to the intensity of the workout.
I have found the camp workout to build confidence which has carried over to all aspects of my life. The coaches inspired me with encouragement to go the extra step, without using intimidation tactics. Fellow campers and coaches have been exhilarating the entire year. I found it to be well worth venturing out at 5:30am during the bitter cold of January and February knowing my new friends would be there to encourage me. I was never uncomfortable or discouraged by anyone for not being a "runner" - speed walking is not looked down upon and you truly are treated as part of the team.
The boot camp efforts were beneficial in several ways: During the summer of 2008, I won a $100 gift certificate to be used towards a one month membership for my weight loss during the Klode Park evening camp. The hard work has built great core strength. I am proud to say at the age of 50, I held a plank for 11 minutes, eight seconds!! And my only goal was to improve on my previous time of 8 minutes, 5 seconds.
I encourage all to challenge yourself by taking your mind and body to its limit. As you work, you sweat and, best of all, you burn calories like crazy. If done regularly, results are almost guaranteed. I have observed campers change their bodies dramatically, some in as little as two months. Their entire shape changes and seeing their new glow is inspiring.
Catherine, from the bottom of my heart I thank you. It has been a pleasure working with you, Julie, and Amy. You truly do have the BEST program and campers. The workouts are AWESOME.I am grateful for the one year experience of attending the Milwaukee Adventure Boot Camp.
(Now I must get moving - what am I waiting for? If not now, when? Where the mind goes the body will follow.( see I did listen)
- JS (Bradford Beach 5:30AM)
“The challenge of doing the best that I can, being motivated, encouraged by others, trying new exercises, learning new exercises, reminders about nutrition, classes were different every day, I never became bored. I liked learning what certain exercises did for my body. Klode Park is a great place to hold the camp: the hill, path, stairs… perfect setting.”
- AK (Klode Park 6pm)
“… has met and exceeded my expectations. I had no idea it would be so mixed –not repetitive AT ALL- big plus. I refrained from doing classes for a while because of the predictability. I like that it’s a constant pace with varied activities and I’d had no idea what to expect. It’s good and a little scary all at once.”
-AK (Bradford Beach 530 am)
"I just wanted to let you know how awesome I thought boot camp was today. It is great to see improvements with each fitness test that passes. I was able to improve on every test that we did. When I see these improvements it gives me the confidence to push myself more. I know that on Monday I'll be using the 10 lbs weights. I like how fast these past few boot camps have flown by. I'm looking forward to the next 3 weeks. "
-LL ( 6:00 pm Co-Ed camp at Klode Park )
"I just wanted to jot a quick note to say how great I'm feeling in week 3 of the Bradford Beach Boot Camp. Today's yoga was wonderful and I can feel the glow carrying into my day. I feel great every morning after I have run longer or done more mountain climbers that I think I can do. I may be one of the last ones to finish a running event but I finish.
I just registered for the August camp and I am looking forward to keeping this positive momentum going. You advised me the other day to just feel the difference in my clothes, rather than focus on the scale or my BMI and I wanted to let you know that I pulled out a pair of pants that have been feeling tight and I am wearing them comfortably today...feels great. I'm really enjoying the experience!"
-JB ( 5:30 AM at Bradford Beach )
"I wanted to tell you thank you for the past couple of months. This is the best I have felt in a long time. When I was living in California , I also participated in a Boot Camp there. While I liked the trainer a lot, I have gained more muscle and increased my endurance much more with your camp! So, thank you again!"
-AP ( 5:30 AM at Bradford Beach )
"I wanted to take a quick moment to write to you before the end of the camp. It has been a treat to be part of boot camp and a precious time I have shared with my two dear friends... It is a memory of Milwaukee , and a memory of my friendships that I will never forget. With my move ... quickly approaching, I believe much of the reason I have remained calm about the transition is having boot camp under my belt each day to proudly look back on.
What you give campers is more than just a healthy workout; you have given us each a renewed perspective on life, a confidence to do what we might otherwise find impossible, and an overall sense of calmness to tackle life's challenges. Ironically, I was ...saying... this morning that I attribute the confidence I have in talking to a new love flame and being proud to just be me, is in thanks to boot camp.
It has been an awesome experience. You truly have a gift for lifting people up and I am thankful for the time I have spent in camp learning from you. I am thankful for all you have given me---which goes far beyond the physical workout."
-KS ( 5:30 AM at Bradford Beach )
"I first just wanted to say that boot camp is seriously the best decision I've made in a really long time! You change it up so much and really do encourage us to be our personal best. It gets frustrating for myself when I can tell I'm not giving my all and then you say something funny or just say 'way to go campers' and it helps push that extra that I need.
I think I'm going to do another month of camp as well - it really has gotten me motivated in other aspects of my life and I can imagine that it only gets better with every day that I go. Thank you in advance for your help and thank you also for offering this to Milwaukee. It feels really great knowing that every fitness level is welcomed and encouraged."
- PH ( 5:30 AM at Bradford Beach )
"I wanted to take a minute to send you a HUGE THANK YOU!! 5:30am boot camp was awesome! I'm amazed at the progress that I've made in the 3 weeks from our fitness test. I don't usually like to talk about myself, but I am so pleased with my progress so far I have to share the news. My mile time went from 9:57 (which in and of itself was an amazing beginning - I'm more comfortable around the 10:45-12:00 minute pace) down to 9:01 !
My plank hold went from 1:45-2:30 , push ups went from 26-42 and sit-ups 38-50. I stand taller and have more confidence in myself ... I am in awe. You certainly made going to bed early and waking early worth it every morning! I loved your little sayings. A few of my favorites were: "Pain is weakness leaving the body" (unbelievable how much weakness I began with; "Let go of what you cannot control, focus on what you can. You can control your attitude and your effort" and "good fat doesn't make you fat, sugar makes you fat". Those sayings helped me out more than you will ever know.
Thank you for doing what you do and most importantly for being who you are. You are definitely helping to change lives. You have helped me begin to change my life for the better. I am blessed that our paths have crossed."
- KS ( 5:30 AM at Bradford Beach )
"Catherine, she's awesome and so knowledgeable! I also like that people can work at their own pace so everyone feels accomplished at the end of a session."
"I love how everyday is different and we are always being challenged with a different part of the body."
"I am going to recommend this boot camp to everyone I know!! I will be moving to Chicago in a month and I hope I can find something just like this when I get out there. Thank you so much!!"
- KK ( 5:30 AM at Bradford Beach )
"This has been a GREAT learning experience and the most fun I've had in fitness in years. "The fact that I have already lost a jean size, have seen a physical change in my butt, arms and stomach. I am happy to be in such a good exercise routine. I feel like I am doing what I am supposed to be doing to be healthy and my doctor agrees... I don't want this to sound too sappy but...You have no idea how you have changed my life forever. You are an amazing and incredibly motivating person. Thank you so much."

"Catherine, I just have to tell you how great this experience was for me. I can honestly say this was the best thing I've ever done for myself. You are an amazing instructor. Every moment was obviously well planned and your advice on eating, fitness, technique and taking care of injuries were delivered with a genuine desire to make us stronger and better. I am so motivated to keep going."
