What is the Milwaukee Adventure Boot Camp for Women?
A four-week indoor/outdoor program of fitness instruction, nutritional counseling and motivational training. You will be inspired and have fun while participating in a fantastic workout led by Certified Adventure Fitness Trainer, Catherine Andersen. Each day, camp will be one hour in length starting at 5:30 am.
What if I'm not very physically fit?
NOBODY will be left behind or asked to complete more than they are capable of doing safely. Nor will anybody go home unchallenged! Women of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Each day will slightly increase in intensity. You will inspire and be inspired by others.
Where are the boot camp locations and where do we meet?
The Milwaukee Adventure Boot Camp has several locations for your convenience. During the spring, summer and fall, camps are held at the following local outdoor parks; Bradford Beach (Milwaukee), Klode Park (White Fish Bay), the Village Park (Elm Grove) and South Shore Park (Bay View). As winter sets in, we DO NOT STOP BOOT CAMP, we just move to large, local indoor facilities that accommodate our vigorous and varied boot camp activities. How often will we meet?
Participants will meet every Monday through Friday for one hour during the four-week program. All participants will be expected to arrive on time. Camp starts at 5:30 AM and ends promptly at 6:30 AM . In some cases, two and three week "mini" camps will be offered and are a great way to test the waters of Boot Camp or to just try something different without the four-week commitment!
How do I get started?
First, take your time to review the pages on the Milwauke Boot Camp website; you will find the answers to many of your questions plus the testimonials and photos are cool! Then check out the calendar page to see what camps/locations/times work best with your schedule. Once you register and submit payment, you will recieve your official Milwaukee Adventure Boot Camp Welcome Packet and Personal Measurement Sheets. The Welcome Packet and accompanying email contain all of the information you will need for your best Boot Camp experieince! Nutrition seminars and pre-camp evaluations are normally held the Saturday before the first day of camp. You will be notified where the nutrition seminar will take place as well as pre and post camp evaluation information and locations 7-10 days prior to the start of camp.
What do I need to bring?
You will need to bring an exercise mat, small hand weights (5-8 lbs.), water bottle, running shoes, and a sense of adventure. You can purchase hand weights at any (Dunhams, Sports Mart, Target or Wal-Mart). There are several businesses that offer special incentives for our campers. You will be given details for participating businesses prior to the start of camp.
What can I achieve from camp?
Your body will become more fit and toned, and you will gain more confidence by making a dramatic improvement in your physical well-being. The camp program includes exercises designed to firm your butt and thighs, flatten your stomach, reduce body fat and increase stamina. By losing fat and gaining muscle, you'll lose inches and gain strength while looking and feeling better. Also, you'll meet great people who share in the same vision of striving to reach their goals for a healthier mind and body. You'll receive a FREE nutrition seminar and Adventure Boot Camp T-Shirt. Why should I participate?
Because if you put minimal effort into your life, you will get back minimal results! You will make a dramatic improvement in your physical, mental and emotional well-being. And you will be finished with your training before the rest of the world has even gotten started!
What is the cost (investment in yourself)?
Each four-week boot camp has a registration fee of $299.00. That's twenty hours of instruction! It averages out to just $14.95 per hour. Where else can you get premiere or cutting edge fitness instruction for that incredible price? Personal trainers can typically charge $60 to $150 per hour for their services - this is a great opportunity to receive motivating fitness instruction by a certified personal trainer for just a fraction of the cost.
Other options:
*The Adventure Boot Camp Program is designed to be done 5 days per week. However, there is a 3 day a week option AND 2-week and 3-week mini camp options. The 5 day program includes 20 sessions and is the best way to jump start your fitness and see dramatic improvements. The mini camps and 3-day per week programs are also beneficial and are especially good for those who are real beginners, are working with injuries or who want to compliment boot camp with other activities.
The 3 day a week program is $229 and you can choose whichever 3 days work best with your schedule. NOTE: Only the 4 and 5 day a week camp options have the pre and post camp evaluations associated with registration and only the 4-week camps have the free Nutrition Seminar. Nutrition is a big part of any fitness program so we ALWAYS talk about nutrition and offer tips during every camp so no one misses out!
